Carers UK carried out an online survey between June and August 2023 (you may remember seeing it on our social media channels). A total of 11,667 carers and former carers responded to the survey.
The report summaries the responses from the 10,751 people who are currently providing care and at points makes harrowing reading, showing that carers are struggling more than ever with their own physical and mental health.
